MAIN BUILDING - MAGNOLIAS The Administration Building at the University of Notre Dame, which houses the administrative offices of the University, is famed for the Gold Dome, atop which rests a gold statue of the Blessed Virgin. The present Administration Building was erected in 1879 by the Rev. Edward F. Sorin, C.S.C., founder of Notre Dame, and other members of his ad- ministration and faculty.
