KING GEORGE INN
PLACE
Built in 1692
Somerset County Route 527
The King George Inn is the oldest building in Warren
Township. For many years it was a stage stop on King
George's Road, a pre-revolutionary highway running from
Perth Amboy to Morristown. During restoration work of
1953-54, original hand-hewn beams were discovered in
the Tap Room. The Dining Room is furnished in authentic
period pieces.
