In 1918 the Lithuanian scouts and guides organiza-
tion was fou nd ed in independent Lithuania. As a
result of Lithuania's occupation in 1940, many
Lithuanians fled to the free world, where these
scouts and guides have been active since 1945.
The Lithuanian scouting movement will cel eb rate
its 60th Anniversary in 1978.
