TIR,
Lion Hunt.–Our picture illustrates the Lion
attacking the hunter seated on the elephant.
They beat the bushes for large game and as
soon as the Lion discovers his enemies, he
leaps upon them, ready to tear them up with
his powerful paws. Now is the time when the
trained Elephant becomes useful to his mas-
ter, as he is ready to defend himself with his
trunk and tusks until the well-aimed bullet
from the hunter's rifle does its deadly work.
