Chief Pilot "Gene" Fricks

"Gene" Fricks senior mail pilot of Interstate Airlines, Inc., and Director of Interstate Airlines Flying School at Tennessee's Sky Harbor near Nashville, has been flying since 1915, and built the first plane he ever flew. In 1921, Chief Pilot Fricks entered commercial flying, and was employed by various aviation companies in the country, and also flew for Mabel Cody's flying circus. To May 18, 1930, he had a total of more than 3,500 hours flying to his credit. He is a native of Chattanooga, Tenn., but now resides in Atlanta, Ga.
