The “ La Ville de Paris” is the largest airship which
has ever been built, being 201 feet long with a maximum
diameter of 35 feet. It is the property of M. Deutsch de la
Meurthe and was constructed by Mr. Edward Surcouf.
The propelling power is a 70 h.p. Chenu motor, and a
peculiarity of its construction are the eight supplementary
gas envelopes fitted at the stern for purposes of steadiness.
