NULLI SECUNDUS,
Nulli Secundus was built at the Army Balloon Factory
at Aldershot. Its length was about 150 ft., and its motor,
50 h.p. Some successful short trips were made with this
airship and eventually in 1907 it sailed to London where
it manoeuvred over the City, circling round St. Paul's
Cathedral. It then successfully descended in the grounds
of the Crystal Palace, where however, it had to be cut
open to save it from being blown away in a gale of wind.
