Built by Lavasseur. The weight a little above 10 cwt. and is worked by an Antoinette motor with 8 cylinders of 50 H.P. The machine covers a space of 500 square feet. With this machine Latham made his famous flight from Tempelhof to Johannistal on September 4th 1909, and this in spite of adverse winds. This flight was the first in Germany made to a given point at great distance.
