This building is an adaptation of the architecture
known as the New Mexico Colonial architecture, which
was in vogue about the time of the American occupation
and the middle of the 19th century. It was erected as a
Federal Aid project, and houses not only the municipal
offices, but police, fire headquarters and jail.
