The Tioga Route passes through the high-
est section of Yosemite National Park,
scenery of rare grandeur. The road winds
and climbs through this wonderful highland
region, via beautiful Aspen Valley, Lake
Tenaya and Tuolumne Meadows. The road
attains a height of 9,941 feet, and on all
sides, are granite peaks and spires covered
with age en-crusted ice and snow, many of
them more than 13,000 feet.
