creature of gigantic proportions. The Coastal Indians, be
lieved when the Thunderbird flashed his eyes, lightning
shot forth; when he flapped his wings, thunder rolled
across the land. His red tongue shot fire. The home of
the Thunderbird was in the highest of mountains.
