Lost, Strayed or Stolen

On or about March 5th or 6th a valuable black horse strayed or was stolen from the Hallengren ranch in Upper Dry Creek Valley and a reward of $50 is hereby offered for the return of the horse in as good condition as when last seen on the ranch. Description-Six or seven years ld; weight about 1400 pounds; black in color, and has never been clipped; very pretty head and neck, resembling a Shetland pony; white spot on lip and under forelock, also on one of the hind legs; mane and tail very heavy and fine hair; a horse that would attract attention; of very nervous disposition, but very gentle; trim built; good work horse, also broken to ride, but ridden very litter; free traveler and very active. Purchased when a colt from Mr. Guernsey of Cloverdale. I will give the above reward for any information that will lead to the return of the horse in good condition.
