The Lift Bridge is a mecca for tourists at any
time of day, but at night it is unusually attrac-
tive. Very often freighters and passenger boats go
thru the canal in the evening and the S.S. Montauk
makes around the horn trips nightly during the
summer excursion season. The lights of Duluth,
twinkling all over the hillside, is a sight worth
seeing from the lake at night.
