I have been watching construction activities
at the site of Bethlehem Pacific's new 15-story
building for its General Offices on the West
Coast. In the foreground you can see how the
building will look from the air when completed
Note how structural steel columns provide sup-
port for the building from the outside. Six floors
of this building on California and Davis Streets
will be available for leasing to others. It is only
one of several major buildings now being con-
structed in downtown San Francisco. To the left
can be seen the foundation work underway for
the John Hancock Building. In the background
can be seen the steelwork for the American Trust
Building. Downtown San Francisco building
construction is booming.
