Perhaps the most realistic ch owder house in New
England is Captain Snow's. This rustic structure
adorns the man-made waterfront at famous Pleas-
ure Island, in Wakefield, Mass. (Route 128, Exit
21A). Nearby are an old popcorn wagon, col orful
umbrellas, and guests awaiting trips on pirate
boats. Soft breezes blow gently across the popu-
lar outdoor restaurant area during the
summer months.
