FIGHTING BILLY MURRAY
A real contender for the middleweight
crown while he was in his prime, but illness
put him out of it about 1914. Murray went
to Australia and gave the late Les Darcy
a hard battle of 20 rounds, losing the de-
cision on points. He was born. April 18,
1892, at Petaluma, Cal.; height, 5 feet 10
inches; weight, 158 pounds; color, white.
