VANCOUVER, WASH., AUG. 31, 1907
John Schleigh, age 45 or 50 years, height 5 feet 7 inches, weight 170 pounds,
stout built, dark hair, sprinkled with gray, red face, thick lips, teeth prominent,
upper left front tooth out---very noticeable, crippled in both feet, walks with
kind of a shuffle and limps, one foot deformed (think it is left foot), wore, when
he left Vancouver, suit of dark clothes and black stiff hat.
Robbed his room-mate on night of August 29 of nine $20 gold pieces, one
$50 bill, and a check of $109 on a Spokane bank drawn in favor of Ben Ander-
son, and signed by Jones and Armsted. Is a booze fighter, short order cook,
painter and stationery engineer. Arrest and wire any information at my ex-
pense.
