Wyck, Germantown

| Dating from 1690, Wyck for nearly three centuries was owned and lived in by nine generations of the Wistar-Haines family. One of the oldest houses still standing in Pennsylvania, Wyck was used as a field hospital in the Battle of Germantown. General Lafayette was given a civic reception here on his return visit to America in 1825. |
