Salt Lake City, is one of the most important
airports in the United States, being the second
largest air-mail center in the country. It is the hub
of four large operating companies carrying mail,
passengers, and express throughout the Intermountain
country and the East.
The large modern hangers are equipped with full
facilities for 24 hour service per day.
Being located adjacent to so many National Parks,
many air travelers, commercial and tourist, pass
through this port which is located 4 miles due west
from Salt Lake City.
The Plane on the left in the picture is a Western
Air Express Tri Motor, Fokker, eight passenger,
135 mile Transport. The other a United Air Line
Bymotor, ten passenger, 185 mile Transport.
