Set of 4: "In the Maine Woods" Hunting Scenes
Additional Details:
In the Maine Woods, At the Runway - in Suspense
With a gameland something like 15,000 square miles in extent, and with thousands of moose and deer wandering over the mountains and valleys, it is not surprising that sportsmen proclaim northern Maine the greatest hunting-ground in America. There are still many runways of wild game seldom touched by foot of man, so that to-day, as in years long gone by, the monarch moose and nimble, graceful deer hold undisputed sway. In The Maine Woods - A Good Shot The hunting of moose is one of the chief attractions to the sportsman who spends his vacation in the forests of Maine. No person, however, is allowed by law to catch or destroy any moose until it be at least one year old, and then he is permitted to kill but one bull moose in the season which extends from October 15th to December 1st.
