Wingfield Park is located partly on an island and partly on
one bank of the beautiful Truckee river, and is nearly in
the center of Reno. Tennis courts, playgrounds and spacious
lawns make this park a popular spot in Reno, and the Nevada
State Tennis Tournament is held here in the fall of the
year. This park was a private donation from one of Nevada's
leading mining and industrial notables.
