The traditional scene of the Coronations of
Westminster Abbey English Monarchs since the Norman conquest.
King Edward the Confessor founded it in 1065. The west towers were designed
by Wren and completed in 1740. The Abbey is Britain's national shrine and the
grave of the Unknown Warrior.
