The way Strawberry was named, or at least the story best liked is, that in early days s Mr. Berry ran a stopping place there patronized mainly by teamsters; and because these men thought more of the care of their horses than of the accommodations provided them they resented the poor grade of hay supplied by Mr. Berry for the horses, and, to express their feelings, called him "Old Strawberry."
