HESPERIA, CALIFORNIA
HESPERIA INN
Hesperia Inn is located on the banks of the Mojave River
and east of Highway 66. Hesperia is a name that comes from
classical mythology, the place where golden apples grew.
Father Garces and later Fremont, Carson and the Mormons
camped here before their trip over the Cajon Pass. This is
part of the old Sante Fe Trail used for years by those who
went to Southern California. Nearby is located the golf course,
country club and swimming pook. . . M.P.
