Utica, N.Y. Oct. 24 1855. Graduated from
College in l878. Admitted to the bar in
1880. Mayor of Utica in 1884. Has been
a member of Congress for 20years. A man
of fine character and abtlity. A superior
orator, and associated with many industrial
and banking industries. Richest man in Utica.
William Howard Taft was born in Cin-
cinnati, Ohio. Sept. 15, 1857. Graduated
from Yale College in 1878-from Cincin
nati College of Law in 1880. Was appointed
Civil Governor of the Phillipine Islands in1901
Secretary of War 1904-1908 and also in
charge of the Phillipine administration.
