William Howard Taft was born in
Cincinnati. Ohio. Sept. 15, 1857.
Graduated from Yale College in
1878 from Cincinnati College of
Law in 1880 Was appointe d Civil
Governor of the Phillipine Islands
in 1901. Secretary of War in 1904
and also in charge of the Phillipine
administration.
He has been a conspicuous success
in missions of Diplomacy; and
is now Secre tary of War.
