Sketch of His Life. Who is without a doubt the smallest person on earth, was born Aug. 27, 1863, on a farm near Fairfield, Ia., where he lived, dealt and traded in stock until he was 30 years old, when he started on exhibition. He weighs 30 lbs., is only 18 inches high, wears a no. 7 hat and No. 9 child's shoe. Parents normal size, his father standing 6 feet tall; five sisters and four brothers, all large sized people. Major being the smallest one in the family. He started to school when 12 years old and acquired a high school education. Since being on exhibition he has accumulated quite a little amount for a rainy day. Unlike most small people, the Major manages all his business transactions and is owner and manager of his show when on exhibition. He does not go out on exhibition during the winter season, but travels and visits most of the time. When not traveling he makes his home with his parents in Fairfield, Iowa. He is healthy, hearty, of a jolly disposition and very fond of company, especially ladies.
