| One of the Old West's most colorful ghost towns was named after W. s. Bodey who in 1859 first discovered gold here. By 1880 the population grew to over 10,000. Gunfights were a daily occurance and some say that the Bad Man from Bodie can still be seen lurking in the shadows. |
