| Safford is Graham County's largest city and her trade center and is located in one of the state's richest farming regions. Founded in 1874, the city twice has served as county seat - first until 1883, and again from 1915 to the present. Graham County gets its name form 10,713 ft. Mt. Graham which towers above Safford, a part time summer home for many people of the valley who go there to relax amidst the tall pines and cold mountain streams. |
