OLD FIRST CHURCH,
Old Bennington, Vermont.
Built in 1805, it is considered one of the finest
church buildings in America. The burial-ground
is the first and oldest cemetery in the State. A
joint resolution of the Vermont Legislature
declared both church and cemetery to be
"Vermont's Colonial Shrine".
