"Hold
up your right hand. You, John Black, do you solemnly swear to the
best of your knowledge and belief that you take this woman to have and
to hold for yourselves, your heirs, executors, administrators and assignees for
your and their use and benefit forever? And that you'll love her and provide
for her and treat her square and white according to the rules and regula-
tions set down to govern such cases in the laws of the United States, so
help you God?
