THE FIRESTONE FACTORY AND
EXHIBITION BUILDING
NEW YORK WORLD'S FAIR 1939
The Firestone Factory and Exhibition Building covers
three and one - half acres, and houses a modern tire factory
producing a finished tire every four minutes. A great ro-
tunda forming the entrance is surmounted by a brilliantly
lighted fin towering 100 ft. in the zir. The outdoor fea-
ture of the exhibit is a typical American farm. with barns,
granary and other buildings, and modernized with rubber-
tired tractors- and implements. Cattle, sheep. chickens and
other livestock roam the field. George McLaughlin is the
designer.
