PANORAMA OF SUEZ CANAL
This canal was built by Ferdinand de Lesseps and
formally opened on Nov. 16th 1869. This steamer is
going up Lake Temsah, which forms a connection
of the canal. The Suez Canal conmects the Mediter-
ranean with the Red Sea, and iscontrolled by the
British Government,
