NEW STREET BRIDGE, HAMBURG, GERMANY
Hamburg is the second largest city in Germany,
is one of the three free cities, and the largest port of
Germany. It is also the terminal for the Hamburg
American Packet Steamship Co., which owns the
largest fleet of vessels in the world. It has many fine,
modern buildings, is an enormous railroad center and
recently the city has erected a fine new street bridge
across the Northern Elbe. The bridge comprises three
spans and its towers are of pure Gothic design.
