The re-built old mining town of CALICO, near
Barstow, Calif., captures the spirit of the Old
West. The Bottle House at left is built of one
of the most plentiful surplus items from Western
Saloons. The statue of Seldom Seen Slim and his
burro honors early prospectors. The mine tour
through the Glory tunnel portrays mining opera-
tions at Calico.
