More than 2 million gondola cars passed through
this dumper during the construction of the dam.
The cars were hauled by a specially built rail-
road from the borrow pits located 11 miles away.
This dumper could unload a train of 40 cars,
carrying 4,400 cubic yards of material, in 24
minutes.
