PLACE
WESTERN TRANSPORTATION IN THE 40s.
The saga of the west is one of transportation. The
early emigrants pushed west by oxen team. The wagons
carried all their earthly possessions. History records the
hardships that these early people had on their trek west;
Caravans of Donner, Fremont, Stevens-Murphy party, The
Jayhawkers led by Manly and the Mormons that came
from Salt Lake City to lay out the city of San Bernardino,
Calif. in June of 1851.
