The cornerstone of this church, a brick edifice, in use_at
the present time, was laid on Sunday, July 27, 1902.
dedication of this memorial sanctuary took place on Sunday,
May 10, 1903. The dedicatory sermon was delivered by the
pastor, Rev. William H. Rice, who selected for his text,
"their land, which thou gavest unto their fathers, the city
which thou hast chosen and the house which I have built for
thy name."-I Kings VIII-48.
The following quotations are inscribed on the bell:
"Jesus Christ came unto the world to save sinners."
"One is our Master and ye all are Brethren."
