DUBLIN AIRPORT. Dublin is a city renowned for its gracious
Georgian architecture. Modern Irish architects have also shown
much immagination. The terminal building at Dublin Airport
(6 miles from the city centre) provides a splendid example. In 1940
the young Irish architect, Desmond Fitzgerald, B.Arch. A.R.I.B.A.
received for his design the Triennial Gold Medal of the Royal
Institute of Architects of Ireland. Dublin Airport, the home base
of Aer Lingus-Irish Air Lines, is linked by direct services with
the principal cities of Europe, and with Boston and New York.
