Founded 1786 by Franciscans. The labor
was performed by Indians. The building is 162
ft. long and 40 ft. wide with adobe walls 6 ft.!
thick. It contains many relics. Cemetery contains
the remains of 4800 Indians and 200 whites. The
garden is sacred to man. Princess Louise and
Mrs Mc Kinley have been allowed to enter.
