OLD BARN, Stanford University at Palo Alto,
California, dates back to 1888. It served as a
winery until 1910, surviving the 1906 earthquake.
Then it was used as a barn for dairy herds. The
"Barn" was remodeled in 1961 and is now oc-
cupied by restaurants, shops, banking facilities
and a brokerage firm.
