California Hall.—Contains the execu-
tive offices of the University of Calif-
ornia. The faculty includes about 750
professors, assistant professors, instruc-
tors and officers. The number of stu-
dents is constantly increasing and is
now over 8,000, not including students
in extension courses. Military training
is required of all male students during
the first two years of attendence under
the direction of an officer of the regular
army.
