building constructed of the region's famed redwood
by private donations and labor in 1950 and located
across from City Hall at Jefferson Ave. and Mid-
dlefield Rd. Near the entrances are a historic o
bell from an early day volunteer fire hose com-
pany and a giant redwood slab whose rings place
its origin in 754, 246 years before Leif Erickson's
legendary discovery of North America.
