OWNER: Bernie Little of Lakeland, Fla., celebrated his 28th anniversary in
the sport in 1990. Bernie Little is the only owner to win four High Point
Championships in succession. Little's team has also won the prestigious
APBA Gold Cup six times, and he continues to be the winningest owner with
75 career victories and 11 world championships.

DRIVER: Tom D'Eath of Fairhaven, Mich., will begin his second consecu-
tive full season with the Miss Budweiser team. D'Eath joined the team early
in the 1988 campaign and helped earn its fourth consecutive world
championship title in 1989. D'Eath has 16 career victories.
TEAM MANAGER: Ron Brown, Seattle, Wash., has been responsible for four
world championships and 22 victories in only 512 years with the Miss
Budweiser team. In 1990 Brown and team set 26 speed records in
12 events.

Cockpit Design: This Miss Budweiser Turbine hull utilizes a canopy from an
F-16 jet fighter to protect the driver. The canopy is attached to a roll cage
similar to that of a race car and the driver is also protected by a double layer
of aluminum honeycomb. The driver, who will be in a form fitting seat in
a reclined position, will utilize a five-point harness to hold him in the seat,
and will also have his own air supply on board.
ENGINE SPECIFICATIONS: The T-55 L-7 Turbine engine is a shaft turbine,
rated at 2,650 horsepower at the output shaft. The engine was used
extensively in Chinook Helicopters.

SEASON RECAP: The Miss Budweiser team narrowly missed winning its
unprecedented fifth straight world title during the 1990 season. Driver Tom
D'Eath won six races and finished second in the other five circuit stops. The
Miss Budweiser won the inaugural Outrigger Hotels Topgun Hydrofest in
Hawaii in November, which actually served as points for the first race of the
1991 campaign.
In 1990, the Miss Budweiser became the first unlimited hydroplane to
reach an average speed of 160 mph when it recorded a qualifying run of
160.122 mph at the Budweiser Thunder on the Ohio race in Evansville, Ind.,
on June 29.
During the 1990 season, Bernie Little's Miss Budweiser team captured
first place at the Budweiser Spirit of Detroit Gold Cup; the Budweiser
Thunder on the Ohio in Evansville, Ind.; the Pringle's Family Thunderboat
Classic in Syracuse; the Budweiser Columbia Cup in Tri-Cities, Wash.; and
the Pringle's Family Hydrofest in Kansas City, Mo.
