One of the highlights of the main building at Hammer-
smith Farm is this rustic Deck Room with large win-
dows opening on a superb view of the East Passage of
Narragansett Bay and Jamestown. The Auchincloss
estate, now open to visitors, served as a summer White
House during the Kennedy administration.
