The Transparent Car is on display in the General Motors
Building. It is a full-size Pontiac Sedan with Body by Fisher.
The outer panels are made of Plexiglas, a new transparent
plastic. Through the transparent exterior you see the struc-
tural and operating parts ordinarily hidden from view. By
the use of chrome and copper-plating, as well as bronze
and enamel finishes, the various functioning parts are easily
distinguished. And of course, you can readily see the many
design and constructional features that contribute strength
and safety to the famous Body by Fisher.
