Maples on a steep hillside can be piped with
plastic tubing (coils on shoulders of crew) to a
main plastic line (black tubing feeding into
gathering tank). Gravity thus eliminates hanging
and emptying sap buckets. One worker holds a
red, gasoline powered tree tapping drill.
