The first issue of Model Railroader magazine was
produced in this quaint Milwaukee building. To mark
the event, Al Kalmbach and his assistants posed
with the initial press run.
Recreate this historic landmark in miniature with
the Magnuson “Birthplace of Model Railroader.”
Now, you can celebrate Model Railroader's hum-
ble beginnings in HO or N Scale.
The HO kit (pictured) consists of highly detailed
polyester castings with architectural components
cast in place. The N Scale building is a one-piece
polyester casting. Both versions feature sign de-
cals, a polyester outhouse and cast metal water
pump and oil drum. The detailed instructions in-
clude a prototype history and floor plan.
"Birthplace of Model Railroader" will be offered
