LAKE TAHOE should be seen by everyone
visiting California. It is a wonderful body of
clear water, 23 miles long, 13 miles wide and 2000
feet deep. It is located high up in the Sierra
Nevada Mts. 6240 feet above sea level—the
largest lake in North America at that altitude.
All classes of hotel accommodations may be had
here from "roughing it" to the famous Tahoe
Tavern. There is fine trout fishing in the lake
and streams. Tahoe is only 15 miles by rail
from Truckee, Cal., on the main Ogden Route of
the Southern Pacific and Railroad and Pullman
tickets allow a ten day stopover at Truckee
without charge. Don't miss it.
