Our house was founded in this city thirty-three years since, and for
many years has held the leading position in the retail clothing trade.
Always progressing in volume of business, superiority of style, excel-
lence of workmanship, and economy of price, we are at the same time
constantly perfecting the methods by which we make a perfect under-
standing between our house and its customers. Plain dealing and
absolute truthfulness are characteristics that we strive always to
maintain.
The experiences of the first half of the Centennial Year have en-
couraged us to large efforts for the Fall and Winter trade, for which
we are now preparing a stock of Garments the equal of which has never
been offered in the New York Market. To this stock, which will be
ready early in the season, we ask attention, in the confidence that in
quality, style and cheapness it will be unsurpassed.
